Feria de Alvarez

Last week the feria of Villa de Alvarez started. It is bigger than the normal Colima feria and there are rodeo and bullfights.

In the evenings there is a parade where the real men (you can tell from the beer and the cigarette in one of their hands) ride on horses through the center of Colima to the feria.

On the way there we went for a walk through Santa Babara, one of Colima's better districts and the area where my boss moved when he moved out of the house we are living in now.
The arena is entirely made of wood and cloth and not really the place where I would want to experience a fire or panic, but apart from that it of course creates a great atmosphere.
The rodeo is over

Apart from the rodeo there are loads of food, DVD and trash sellers. Basically the same as in any other feria in any other place just with mexican stuff and copied DVDs.

Shortly before leaving I found this bit of information:
